Goa is always associated with it's sunny, cheerful beaches. When I visited Goa in 2013 August, the trip started with a big disappointment! All the beach sports were closed and so were the beach shacks. Most of the beaches had high tide and it was too risky to even get into the water. However I never regret that trip as it gave a lot of opportunities to drench in the Konkan Monsoons. It presented us with lush green landscape of sublime beauty.  As I stood there watching this landscape in complete silence I experienced peace.
