Story of this Photo

While I was traveling through the backwaters of Kerala, I came across this curious looking petrol station. It is perched on the side of a canal in the back waters. What interested me is that, this is a rare petrol bunk dedicated for boats. The backwaters of Kerala is a wonderland, where water plays a major role in everyday life. The houses have canals right in front of them and many families own a small Gondola type boat. I have also seen some small salesmen wander about in their boats, selling groceries and other supplies. In a land where there are more connectivity through waterways than by land, such sights are not surprising.
